About this course

A Powerful 2-Hour Live Training with Debbie Joffe Ellis

Presented by: Debbie Joffe Ellis — Albert Ellis’s wife, colleague, and leading ambassador of REBT worldwide

You are not “broken.” You are not “too emotional.” You are not “failing.”
Most of the time, you are simply believing something that is intensifying your suffering.

REBT teaches a life-changing truth:
It’s not what happens that creates your emotional outcome.
It’s what you tell yourself about what happens.

Date: Thursday, April 16, 2026

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

The REBT ABC Model: how beliefs—not events—drive emotions and behavior

•      The difference between healthy vs. unhealthy negative emotions (sadness vs. depression, concern vs. anxiety)

•      The 4 core irrational beliefs that fuel distress: demandingness, awfulizing, low frustration tolerance, and self/other/life-downing

•      How to dispute unhelpful beliefs using REBT’s practical, evidence-based methods

•      How to replace suffering-amplifying beliefs with flexible, empowering alternatives you can actually live by

LIVE DEMONSTRATION

Debbie will guide a volunteer through a live REBT process—so you can see the model in action, step-by-step.

Bring a real-life challenge (stress, anxiety, shame, anger, burnout, relationship conflict, imposter syndrome, perfectionism).
