2 CEU for LMSWs, LCSWs, and LMHCs

We’re all familiar with Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. We all know that the first first needs are physiological, the second need is safety, and the third one is love and belonging.
However, what few of us know is how to optimize the likelihood of success for our patients or clients in having these needs met in a sustainable way.
While working on these needs in a linear manner may sound common sense and may by far the most common practice, both evidence and our own clinical practice have proven time and time again that we can go from our current and persisting 5% success rate to a 85 to 90% success rate when we know the how.
Let's start with one of the most anxiety provoking aspects of these needs. Let's talk about money. Particularly in the midst of this pandemic, what exactly is going on through the mind of our patients and clients? How would we advise them? Would we continue to advise them, support them, the same old way, and continue with our dismal 5% rate or even make things worse for them? Or should we go ahead and learn the optimal way to properly help them in sustainable way, while helping our loved ones and ourselves, in the process?
Join us. Arm yourself with tools, and skills. Enhance your practice, and maximize the difference you've always wanted to make.

AT THE END OF THIS WEBINAR, YOU WILL:

  1. Learned the framework of the Socratic Motivational Practice to increase the effectiveness of your work in talking with patients and clients about money.
  2. Learned the Principles, Techniques, Steps, and Do's and Don'ts of the Socratic Motivational Practice when talking with patients and clients about money.
  3. Increased your tools to talking with patients and clients about money, by identifying at least one thing you will start doing differently, at the end of the webinar, as a result of the Socratic Motivational Practice framework.
  4. Everything you want in one place, including an illustration of how to implement the newly learned skills during our role plays
  5. Received your certificate by email immediately after your post-test and evaluation are completed.

HERE'S WHAT OUR ATTENDEES ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR SWEET WEBINARS:

"Concise yet very meaningfully engaging, warm, respectful, vital information presented in a very helpful way. The responsiveness to participants and the organization of the delivery of information. It was excellent."

"It was one of the best SWEET presentations that I have attended today. I was feeling discouraged today.... The facts were so timely about Coronavirus. I have emailed the facts to my family members and will share with my co-workers that are social workers. You are providing a great public service. Keep up the excellent work!"

Shari, LSW

"The interactive education style...time flew and learning happened. The interaction was the focal point not the powerpoint.... I love that!"

Elizabeth, LCSW

There are a handful of states that the NASW does not cover because those states want to maintain their independent authority to approve, or not, providers and courses. In New York State, the Office of Professions controls the approval process. We are an approved provider by the NY State Office of Professions. In other words:

  • In the State of New York, SWEET Institute is approved by the Office of Professions under Dr. Sidor Psychiatric Services as a CEU provider for social workers (#SW-0471) and mental health counselors (#MHC-0127).
  • Our live and self-study webinars are individually approved by the NASW National CE Approval Program in 46 additional states. SWEET courses are NOT approved by the NASW National CE Approval Program in: Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia.

What is the SWEET Institute?
SWEET Institute is a community of clinicians and advocates who believe that systemic change is only possible when we all come together, fight for a variety of social justice causes, and do so by investing in a collective learning process that empowers, fosters reflection, critical thinking, and the implementation of skills acquired during our seminars. At SWEET, we emphasize “the Why, the How, the What, and Then What, while using the Socratic and Desire Methods. We are a community united in vision and purpose towards bringing the needed changes. This can be accomplished through solidarity, empowerment, and education. By focusing on and developing the strengths, drives, passions, and skills of clinicians and advocates, we can all make a transformative impact in the lives of our patients and clients and the system as a whole.
Are different are these seminars? Will I be able to interact with the Course Facilitator(s)?
Absolutely. One of the keystone paradigms of the SWEET Institute is the collective learning process. This is accomplished using the Socratic Method and is based on the most up-to-date adult learning theories. Integrating this process into our in-person seminars and live webinars creates a unique and dynamic learning experience for all of us. It is essential to us that a comfortable learning environment is created, so that anyone who attends our webinars or in-person seminars participate and are able to take risks and push themselves to gain deeper knowledge. In our webinars, this will be done through our chat feature. Also, both Mardoche and Karen are available for consultation and clarification following webinars and in-person seminars or by email at [email protected].
How will I get CEUs?
