Introduction
How do we now understand what it means to have a client that is considered "resistant?" How is this understood through the lens of Motivational Interviewing, and how does this shift how we work with our clients? Motivational Interviewing is based on the premise that by working with clients to understand their ambivalence, we can work with them to facilitate change.
If your clients seem ambivalent and are not making the changes they say they want to make in their lives, then please join us and develop a mastery of Motivational Interviewing. You will come away having learned a counseling style that emphasizes collaborative partnership between you and your clients, and with the ability to activate your client’s capability for beneficial change.
