Personality Disorder Skills Training - Full Day Online Seminar (Self-Study)
Self-Study
SELF-STUDY ONLINE SEMINAR
This seminar is clinically-based for anyone invested in improving their skills.
For only New York State Licensed LMSWs, LCSWs, LMHCs, and CASACs, 6 CEUs are available once the post-test and evaluation are completed.
As clinicians, we've been led to believe that there is not that much hope for those with personality disorders. "It's just their personality," we hear or even say at times. It is as if they, too, do not suffer; as if they consciously choose to feel or behave exactly as they are feeling or behaving.
This belief, that we have inherited as clinicians, is founded upon the sad Truth that we are working with individuals, who are human beings, without us knowing or understanding what it really means to be a human being.
We are supposed to help people with their life, yet we barely know what life is all about. We could have been justified one hundred years ago, even half a century ago, to continue to practice this way, but we currently know too much from Biology and Neuroscience, and specifically, the field of the Neuroscience of Consciousness, for us to not do what is best for our patients and clients to then truly help them stop suffering.
- Learned and mastered how personality disorders have formed; what keeps them intact; and what it takes to put an end to the protective personality cycle.
- Identified the different aspects of the protective personality; understanding the mechanism of fear in this patient population and how to help them develop a different type of relationship with fear.
- Mastered the mechanism of anger, of relationship difficulties, and the different approaches to use to help those with personality disorders with these core challenges.
- Mastered the framework of The Fundamental of Thought, The Fundamental of Consciousness, and the Fundamental of Mind, and its application in helping those with personality disorders cease suffering.
- Learned and mastered the principles of the Ordinary Blueprint vs. the Natural Blueprint, and the How of using the difference to help bring states of change.
- Increased your tools for helping patients and clients with personality disorders.
Friends: We look forward to continuing to serve you; so you help cease suffering for our patients and clients; and so you help elevate your agency, yourself, and the field as a whole.
- Understanding Narcissistic Personality Disorder
- Understanding Avoidant Personality Disorder
- Understanding Paranoid Personality Disorder

There are a handful of states that the NASW does not cover because those states want to maintain their independent authority to approve, or not, providers and courses. In New York State, the Office of Professions controls the approval process. We are an approved provider by the NY State Office of Professions. In other words:
- In the State of New York, SWEET Institute is approved by the Office of Professions under Dr. Sidor Psychiatric Services as a CEU provider for social workers (#SW-0471) and mental health counselors (#MHC-0127).
- Our live and self-study webinars are individually approved by the NASW National CE Approval Program in 46 additional states. SWEET courses are NOT approved by the NASW National CE Approval Program in: Michigan, New Jersey, and West Virginia.
