Introduction

Before we even get to asking about plan, method, and intent, there are techniques that are essential for us to follow in order to do a comprehensive suicide risk assessment and work with our patients and clients to get to the root of the matter.

Once you have screened and then assessed for suicide, what is the context of what is happening for your client? What do they even know about suicide? What are the best techniques for asking about suicide, obtaining a reliable response, and getting to the root of the situation?

Come join us and master the techniques for doing a Suicide Risk Assessment.

At the end of this seminar, you will have:

  1. Learned the framework of the Socratic Motivational Practice to increase your effectiveness in assessing for suicide risk.
  2. Learned the Techniques, Do's, and Don'ts of the Socratic Motivational Practice to help you assess your patients and clients for suicide risk.
  3. Increased your tools to talking with patients and clients by identifying at least one thing you will start doing differently at the end of the seminar, as a result of the Socratic Motivational Practice framework.
  4. Everything you want in one place, including an illustration of how to implement the newly learned skills during our role plays.
  5. Received your certificate by email immediately after your post-test and evaluation are completed.
