Working With Lies (Self-Study)
Self-Study
SELF-STUDY ONLINE SEMINAR
This seminar is clinically-based for anyone invested in improving their skills.
For only New York State Licensed LMSWs, LCSWs, LMHCs, and CASACs,
2 CEUs are available once the post-test and evaluation are completed.
Do your patients and clients lie? Why do they lie? Are they “Pathological liars?” Are they trying to please you? Are they “self-sabotaging?”
What do you feel when your patients and clients lie to you? How do you react? How do you use it or not? What do you make of it?
If we agree with Winnicott that our conflicts are the product of past relationships and that only the proper relationship will help save us from them, properly working with patients and clients around their lies can be one of the most powerful ways to enhance clinical outcomes, if we know how.
At the end of this seminar, you will have:
- Learned how to contextualize lies.
- Mastered the How of working with lies.
- Mastered the How of formulating lies.
- Mastered the How of formulating and executing strategic interventions for our patients and clients around lying.
