SWEET Class - The Secrets and Soft Skills of CBT

Something that worked well was the scenarios and examples, and the do’s and don’ts are helpful. – Lismeiry G., Student
Overall, I think the Ted Talk video was a great break and visual aid. I enjoyed the discussion amongst the facilitators and attendees...The seminar was a good way to start thinking of CBT. I will be buying the book – Feeling Good. Thank you! – Violeta, R., Bronx Defenders
I enjoyed the small group setting and the way facilitators encourage conversation and group participation but do not force it. I also like that information is presented via questions and not just given, as it encourages us to think. Rivka C., Bronx Defenders
Small group was helpful to facilitate learning as well as discussion. I’m also impressed that the facilitators knew everyone’s name. It made me feel welcome. Muriel B., Bronx Defenders
Things that worked well. "1.Relating course to David Burn’s Book, Feeling Good. 2. Asking for group involvement for explanations and clarification of terms and concepts. 3. Requesting how course material will be used in practice. Role-playing is an effective and education technique. Video presentations are also effective." Samuel G., TSI
I appreciated the historical background of CBT and Aaron Beck and how he came to develop CBT. Thomas J., TSI
Great and well-organized training material were helpful. – Shola A., Fortune Society
The questions and response method. It was very useful and effective. The session was very informative and professional. Hospitality was very positive. Lymus R., Fortune Society
With the PowerPoint, dialogue, and intimate setting, I felt like the material was presented more effectively. I am a dynamic learner, so with class discussion, visual cues and small setting helps me to better understand the material. I would like to see this training cover all the information in a longer setting as opposed to 9am-1pm, maybe 9am-4pm. Terrence R., Fortune Society
This was a great training. Anthony H., Fortune Society
