They suffer in silence. They try to “survive,” to “cope,” to “defend” themselves, and they do whatever it takes to leave us before we “leave” them. They do that with those who love them the most, for they doubt that they are truly loved simply because they do not believe they deserve it.
Most of our colleagues are either afraid of, or hate, working with this population. But it does not have to be that way.
You can get the tools you need to make a difference in their lives, where many others may have been unable to.
What will you learn from this seminar?
- How to understand Borderline Personality Disorder in a way that will help you better help your clients
- How to help your clients understand their condition in a way that will empower them to facilitate their own healing
- How to implement the triad of Unlearning, Relearning, and Continuous Learning to help your clients where others have failed
- How to facilitate transfer of skills and promote distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and healthy coping skills
During this 2-hour seminar, we will guide you through an experiential learning process where you will be learning what it takes to help your clients, and how to implement that in daily practice.

"I have just begun to attend more seminars at Sweet and each time I walk away feeling like I have learned something new, even though I have been in the field for a very long time. The trainers have knowledge but also a gift for relaying their knowledge in ways that one clinician can relate to and understand. They encourage participation and the training is interactive. They acknowledge almost every comment made by the trainees as well." - Sonia, LCSW-R
"This was my first seminar and I will definitely attend more in the future." - Marie, LMSW
"I really love the work that SWEET does. The information is always relevant and applicable in practice." - Sherwonda, LMSW
