Objectives:

  1. Increase Awareness and Understanding of Alcohol Use Disorder: AUD is often misunderstood, stigmatized, and overlooked. Through education, we aim to break down common misconceptions and help communities recognize the signs and symptoms of AUD. Raising awareness is the first step toward creating a supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to seek help.

  2. Promote Effective Treatment Options and Resources for Recovery: There are many paths to recovery, including therapy, medication-assisted treatment, and support groups. Our goal is to inform individuals and families about available treatment options, guiding them to the resources that best meet their needs. Evidence-based treatments can significantly improve outcomes, supporting individuals in building and sustaining a healthy, alcohol-free life.

  3. Encourage a Supportive and Compassionate Approach for Caregivers and Communities: Recovery from AUD often requires a strong support network. By fostering a compassionate perspective and equipping loved ones, friends, and community members with the tools to support those in recovery, we can reduce stigma and promote healing. Together, we can build a community that recognizes AUD as a medical condition deserving of empathy and understanding.

Alcohol Use Disorder is treatable, and with the right support, recovery is possible. Join us in learning more about AUD, advocating for compassionate care, and supporting the journey toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
